Icy Bay Lodge was started in 2005 by Pete Grimm and the Davis family.  Like so many others, Pete first fished Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula in the 80's.  After his first visit he was hooked, and sought out a more remote place that he could enjoy.  Enter Icy Bay...

Icy Bay is located 300 miles East of Anchorage, on the Gulf of Alaska.  The closest hint of civilization are the towns of Yakutat which is 65 miles away, and Cordova (155 miles).  To get there you take Alaskan Airlines flight 61 or 66 into the town of Yakutat.  We will fly you from Yakutat out to Icy Bay Lodge.

While at Icy Bay Lodge you will be shown what many consider the best kept secret in Alaska by our guides; Nick Coe, and Rob Cannon.
Nick RobDryFly
Nick spends over 300 days a year on the water in the Western United States and Alaska, and when he isn't fishing, he's talking about it.  He is passionate about ensuring a great experience for all of our guests.  During the Winter months Nick spends his time in Idaho dreaming of the next big fish.

Rob has been guiding at Icy Bay Lodge since it first opened, and through his experience he has gained an incredible knowledge of what it takes to catch fish in Icy Bay, all the while keeping our guests out of harms way.  Rob spends the Winter in Kansas City guiding big game hunts, and tying his top secret flies for giant Coho.
